After what seemed like an eternity of being in development, Adobe XD has finally come out of beta.
At first glance, or maybe just my own bias, it appeared that XD was going to be nothing more than a rip-off of Sketch. At least that’s the impression I got when first looking at the stripped-down interface. If you look a little further though, you’ll see that XD is so much more than that.
At first glance, or maybe just my own bias, it appeared that XD was going to be nothing more than a rip-off of Sketch. This is not the case.
The biggest takeaway I took from XD is how much easier prototyping is with it compared to Sketch. It’s as easy as pushing a button. This is possible in Sketch as well, but only after you purchase a $15 plugin.
So, this raises a question. Are designers going to want to spend $100 a year on Sketch if they already have a Creative Cloud subscription? I guess we’ll have to wait and see
